Burmah Road or Jalan Burma is one of the major roads in George Town. This long road begins at the junction with Penang Road, and runs in a northwesterly direction out of town. This was named after the Burmese settlement that existed in Pulau Tikus district, of which stands the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple as the lasting reminder of their presence.

This road is one of the commuter road for Georgetown Sketching for me. In the nearby downtown, Burma road is connected to Phuah Hin Street.  Island Gallery  where I had my first Solo Exhibition in 2011 is on this street.

Before reaching the junction of Jln. Pangkor, there is “1926 Heritage Hotel” on the left hand side. They have two restaurants which was displaied my paintings in while two years by courtesy of the hotel owner Won-san.

In Pulau Tikus, this road is connected to Bangkok Lane that is flanked by two rows comprising forty link houses built in 1928 by Cheah Leong Kah who is a pioneer of motor firms in Penang. In the middle of this lane, there is A2 Gallery, that is where I'm holding my second Solo Exhibition in 2012.

I can say, Burmah Road is a” Lovely My Gallery Road “in Penang.
