Armenian Street is one of the core zone of the George Town Unesco World Heritage Site. This name from an Armenian family who once stayed at the junction of the now Armenian Street and Beach Street in the early part of the 19th century.
I like this Street very much and have visited perhaps more than 10 times for sketching. In 2010 I recommended this sketching site to my students from Equator Academy of Art. They did a good job inspite of the hot weather condition.
I have made many friends from this street, A friendly owner and family of the local restaurant, Antique goods shopmaster- yes, my secondhand bicycle came from this shop, Gallery and Souvenir shop manager and also the hardworking trishaw riders. I hope you’ll enjoy and learn at Penang Islamic Museum, Sun Yat Sen Penang Base and Khoo Kongsi.
